駐墨爾本總領館房新文總領事出席領區僑界紀念臺灣光復80周年座談會

　　10月25日，房新文總領事出席由維多利亞州華人社團聯合會主辦的“紀念臺灣光復80周年座談會”並講話。維州華聯會主席陳運國、部分臺胞及領區僑團代表50余人出席。陳小冬副總領事出席。

　　房總領事介紹了中國全國人大常委會通過決定將10月25日設立為臺灣光復紀念日相關情況，強調臺灣光復是中國人民抗日戰爭勝利的重要成果，是中國政府恢復對臺灣行使主權的重要鐵證，是臺灣作為中國一部分的歷史事實和法理鏈條的重要一環，是兩岸同胞的共同榮光和全體中華兒女的民族記憶。我們將團結廣大臺灣同胞，共同銘記歷史、緬懷先烈，攜手推進祖國統一大業，同心開創民族復興光明前景。希望領區僑胞繼續為推進祖（籍）國完全統一貢獻力量。

　　陳運國主席等與會代表紛紛發言，深情分享心中的兩岸情懷，共同表達對實現祖（籍）國統一大業的熱切期盼。

　　活動現場，大家一同觀看了《臺灣光復歷史及意義》《臺灣問題由何而來》等專題紀錄片。

Consul General Fang Xinwen Attends a Seminar  Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Restoration of Taiwan hosted by the Local Chinese Community

　　On October 25, Consul General Fang Xinwen attended and addressed a seminar commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Restoration of Taiwan, hosted by the Federation of Chinese Association(VIC) INC. Over 50 people, Including President  Chen Yunguo, attended the seminar. Deputy Consul General Chen Xiaodong was also in attendance.

　　Consul General Fang stated that according to the decision adopted by Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), October 25 is designated as the Commemoration Day of Taiwan's Restoration. The restoration of Taiwan is an important outcome of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and a compelling proof of the Chinese government's recovery of sovereignty over Taiwan. It is also an important part of the historical fact and legal chain that Taiwan is an integral part of China, and a national memory shared by all Chinese. We will unite with our  compatriots in Taiwan to jointly remember history, cherish the memory of the martyrs, and work together to advance the great cause of national reunification and jointly create a bright future for national rejuvenation. He expressed hope that local Chinese community in the consular district will continue to contribute to the complete reunification of the motherland.

　　President Chen Yunguo and other participating representatives shared their heartfelt feelings about cross-strait relations and expressed their eager anticipation for the great cause of reunification of the motherland.
